About the Role An opportunity exists for an experienced compliance professional to lead the delivery of a high-profile enterprise compliance transformation initiative within a large and complex public sector environment. Working closely with senior executives and governance leaders, this role will focus on developing and embedding a practical enterprise compliance framework that supports strategic objectives, improves accountability and strengthens organisational capability. The successful candidate will play a key role in simplifying existing compliance practices, improving business ownership of compliance obligations and establishing fit-for-purpose governance processes. This is a hands-on specialist position suited to someone who enjoys delivering outcomes, influencing stakeholders and driving meaningful change within fast-paced environments. The role offers significant visibility across executive leadership teams and requires an individual who can quickly establish credibility and deliver results with minimal supervision. Position: Senior Manager Enterprise Compliance Pay Rate: $1,100 - $1,200/daysuper Location: Sydney CBD Working Arrangement: Hybrid (50% office attendance per month) Start Date: ASAP Duration: Up to 4 Months Application Window: 3 days Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development and implementation of an enterprise-wide compliance framework Review, simplify and modernise existing compliance policies, procedures and governance artefacts Develop practical tools, templates and processes that support effective compliance management Partner with governance, risk, audit, legal and operational teams to improve compliance maturity Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior executives and business leaders Facilitate stakeholder workshops, consultations and working groups to drive engagement and adoption Identify compliance risks, control gaps and improvement opportunities across business functions Develop compliance reporting frameworks, dashboards and executive-level insights Support the implementation, optimisation and ongoing use of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems Monitor regulatory and policy obligations and assess organisational impacts Drive initiatives that reduce unnecessary compliance burden while maintaining effective controls Promote a culture of accountability, ethical conduct and proactive risk management Contribute to audit responses, regulatory reviews and compliance assurance activities Track project milestones and ensure deliverables are achieved within agreed timeframes Build sustainable compliance practices that can be maintained beyond the project lifecycle About You Demonstrated senior-level experience 3-5 years within Compliance, Governance, Risk Management, Audit or related functions Proven experience designing, implementing or transforming enterprise compliance frameworks within large and complex organisations Strong understanding of compliance management principles, governance structures and risk management practices Experience engaging, influencing and building credibility with executive stakeholders Ability to translate complex regulatory and governance requirements into practical business solutions Experience leading organisational change and driving adoption of new frameworks and processes Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills Excellent written communication skills with experience preparing frameworks, policies, reports and executive papers Exposure to Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) platforms such as RiskConnect, ServiceNow, Archer or similar systems Strong facilitation, consultation and stakeholder management capabilities Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within tight deadlines Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, Governance, Risk Management or a related discipline Professional certifications such as GRC Institute qualifications, Certified Compliance Professional (CCP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Risk Professional (CRP) or equivalent will be highly regarded Previous government or highly regulated industry experience will be advantageous Must possess valid Australian working rights.
